How is Moorstack different from BuildSpace, Procore, or Aconex?

BuildSpace, Procore, and Aconex are excellent off-the-shelf products, you adapt your operation to them. Moorstack does the opposite: we map how you already run, then build the platform around it, so your way of working is preserved, not replaced. Many clients keep what works and have us build the parts those tools force them to fight. And it is proven, the platform already runs a real contractor's jobs, claims, and payments every month. Better fit for owner-operated contractors with a way of working they refuse to abandon; worse fit for enterprises that want one-click software.

The people who built it are the people who fix it. When something goes wrong, you call the engineer who wrote the code, not a support ticket. The person scoping your build is the same person deploying it. And founder-built does not mean founder-dependent: your platform runs on your own Google Cloud project, the code and data are yours, and it is documented so it can be handed to any competent engineer if you ever need to. Moorstack is being incorporated as a Malaysian Sdn Bhd in 2026, headquartered in Malaysia, and serves contracting firms internationally. The engineering co-founder built and runs the platform Moorstack is based on for Stewar Limited, a prominent electrical contractor in Kenya, live since 2024. That working system is the proof of concept behind everything we build.

How long does a Moorstack build take?

A starter module takes three to four weeks. A full operations platform takes eight to twelve weeks. A construction-specific platform with multiple modules can run to sixteen weeks. We scope every project on a thirty-minute call and quote a fixed price before any contract is signed.

How much does a Moorstack build cost?

Development fee: RM 15,000 to RM 150,000+ depending on modules, team size, data migration, and compliance work. Monthly subscription: RM 450 to RM 5,000+. One fixed price, in writing, before any contract is signed. No discovery fees, no change-order surprises.

What if the build doesn't meet our expectations?

Weekly demos throughout the build mean you course-correct as we go, you are never waiting 12 weeks to find out we built the wrong thing. The full scope is in writing before the contract is signed. If the delivered platform does not match the agreed scope, we fix it at our cost.

In exchange: one written case study and two introductions over two years. The reduced rate reflects where Moorstack is in its journey, not the quality of the work.

Is Moorstack ready for the MyInvois e-invoicing rules?

The platform generates MyInvois-compliant invoices from day one, including the construction-specific rule that progress claims cannot be consolidated and must be issued individually. Direct LHDN submission via the Peppol network is on the roadmap, invoices are currently generated in the correct format for submission via your accountant or the MyInvois portal. Compliance updates are included in the subscription.

Why are Malaysian contracting firms still running on Excel and WhatsApp?

Most contracting firms in Malaysia grew faster than their systems. The tools that worked at RM 3M turnover, spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, paper site reports, become liabilities at RM 10M+. Claims get assembled the night before submission. Job updates disappear in group chats. Subcontractors get overpaid because nobody has the full picture. The problem is not the people, it is that the tools were never built for contracting operations at this scale.
